As described in our name the camping sight is on the banks of the river Marecchia that gives us very green fields and rejoices in its silence. On its banks there is exuberant nature, and on these banks Guerra loved to say “Here you will find the infancy of the world” the Marecchia gave its name to the valley, and we are situated in the centre where you will find sweet and thick vegetation. From it springs a climate not too hot and sultry and never hit by the cold winds from the mountains. The Valmarecchia is in the heart of the historic region of Montefeltro , full of antique culture. Fortresses castles antique villages roads and tracks all just a few kilometres away from us. Medieval villages Pennabilli where Guerra chose to make his home. San Leo,L’antica Mons Feretrius, the capital of Montefeltria, Sant’Agata Feltria, Petrella Guidi; Casteldelci;San Marino the oldest and amongst the smallest Republics of the world.
Here history has given us the gift of precious architecture with natural scenery with torrents, woods, natural springs and peaks which divide us from the nearby Tuscany also rich and fascinating and offering many activities, walks trekking on foot or horseback, bike rides and mountain biking, climbing and trips in a deltaplane, birdwatching and more. Just visit “Parco del Sasso Simone and Simoncello”, characterized by the huge woodland of oaks one of the largest in Italy, and dominated by an extraordinary “mesas” which resembles American canyons and where “La Citta del Sole” was created in 1500 by Signoria dei Medici di Firenze.
